1. Athletes will be properly registered, or they will not be able to qualify for the prize, gifts or in the prize-giving ceremony. If you are not officially registered, route judges and security personnel will identify you and remove you off the race before you finish.
2. Athletes will be receiving a printed number, which they will wear on the front part of their shirt. The route judges at the Arrivals table will check them.
3. Every athlete will be responsible of taking the medical tests necessary to ensure a good health and a good physical condition. Participation is at their own risk, and they will so agree when signing our release form, exempting any of our directors, staff, sponsors and co-sponsors from such responsibility.
4. Given the case that during the Race an athlete loses his/her number, he/she must tell this number to the checking judges who will be covering the route. In not, he/she will be disqualified.
5. The regular printed number, and the Championchip will be used.
6. Prizes by category will be given to the participants after being checked by the judges and verified by officials at the checking points around the route and in the Arrival. The prizes will be sent by mail after the day of the event.
7. In accordance with the Athletics Federation of Puerto Rico, teenagers younger than 15 years of age will not qualify to compete with the participating athletes. They do not qualify for a metallic prize. However, they will participate for a shirt and a medal.
8. Any contestant younger than 18 will not be able to participate without a parent or legal guardian’s consent. When registering, they must arrive with a valid ID to verify his/her age. A Birth Certificate is suggested.
9. There will be judges checking the competition throughout the route. If any complaints occur, the current regulations of the International Federation of Enthusiast Athletics (or FIAA, for its Spanish acronym) will be applied. The complaints will be processed during the 30 days following the race.
10. Athletes running without a t-shirt will NOT be allowed.
11. No participant will be allowed (before, during and/or after the race) to promote on his/her uniform adverts, logos, or any other kind of propaganda competing with our sponsors.
12. Prizes will not be given to second parties in the Open Category. Participants must show a valid ID and a physical address. Winners who are not present during the prize ceremony will receive his/her prize by mail.
13. The International Category will only be applying to men this year.
14. The Age Categories will be applied to both National and International Athletes (men only).
15. A 5% of the prize will be deducted in accordance with the current orders of the Comité de Fondismo de Puerto Rico. International athletes will pay the same percentage to the Department of Treasury.
16. Participating clubs must be functioning and in operation when registering, and must be able to show current evidence of the latter.
17. Clubs will qualify for the metallic prize only when registering with a minimum of 30 active members (in accordance with the president/secretary of the organization). Clubs must register AT LEAST 8 days prior to the race. Last inscription date for clubs will the two Saturdays prior to the event.
18. The Club will be able to subscribe additional members (showing a valid member ID) until the last day of registration, as long as the club is already registered a week prior to the race.
19. A minimum of 25 members must show to the Finish Line to qualify for a metallic prize.
20. We will be not accept club registration forms during the last day of registration, NO EXCEPTIONS. Only additional members of teams already registered 8 days prior to the race will be able to be inscribed by their president and/or secretary the day before the race. Club members must show a valid club member ID.
21. During the last day of registration, A LATE FEE OF $5.00 WILL BE CHARGED FOR EVERY INSCRIPTION.
