OUR TOWN:
The municipality of Toa Baja is known as the Toa Valley. It was founded I the year 1745, having the apostle Saint Peter as it’s patron saint. This municipality extends itself approximately 23.2 square miles and has about 100,000 inhabitants. The principal economical activity of Toa Baja is it’s industry. Toa Baja is located in the northen region of our island and it belongs to the senatorial district of Bayamón.

Our present mayor is the Honorable Aníbal Vega Borges and the Honorable Bernardo “Betito”  Márquez García is our representative in the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Toa Baja is located near one of our main roads, highway #2, making it a favorite for many different reasons. It has benefited in its Industrial programs through the economical Fomentation Administration. The construction of the Diego Expressway has given this town an extraordinary advantage and access by connecting it to all facilities in the metropolitan area.

In addition to all the sectors involved in commercial construction and the government agencies, the industrial sector continues to be the primary economical income of Toa Baja. It is a town continually growing in all its aspects.

LAND AND CLIMATE:
The municipality of Toa Baja is included within the humid alluvial areas of our geographical regions specified as flat coastal areas of the north; making its soil highly productive in the cultivation of all types of fruits.

Toa Baja has apleasent climate. Average temperature is around 81.3 F. The amount of rain ranges btween 62 to 67 inchesexcepting the interior, where an average of 80 inches of rain is commonly seen.
